How many photographs do you take at weddings?
We do not limit the number of photographs made within the hours you reserve our services. In addition, we go one step farther in the process to help you; we carefully edit the images to give you a quantity of exceptional images—the best of the best. In our 15 years of experience, couples express appreciation for helping them avoid what can be frustrating and time-consuming. After the wedding, we typically spend 18-25 hours in the “post-processing” phase to enhance and refine images for the best color saturation and the most pleasing skin tones. This is all included as part of our mission to deliver outstanding service along with extraordinary images.
We include an Album Design Service with our albums at no extra charge. Our experience in album layout and artistic sequencing is an added benefit to make your album truly outstanding.
How much do you charge to photograph weddings?
In the past, we presented a choice of packages only to discover that a package never fit the specific needs of our clients. We’ve made it easier for couples by giving them a “package price” on exactly what they want! You still get the quantity value, but you are not forced into a package. Your self-designed package can include a variety of items such as engagement session, albums, DVD show of your images with music, personal web gallery, parent albums, wall portraits and more. The cost of packages most couples design range from $2500 to $8500. The Bridal Gift Registry at f. ferguson photographers is popular since it provides a photography gift option for your guests. They can purchase a gift certificate in any amount that you can use for additional photographs, either for your album or for wall decor.
How can we get a lot of important pictures and not make our guests wait if we don’t have a lot of time between the ceremony and the reception?
We understand your concern and can work with several options to get those important pictures without delaying your guests.
Many couples love the idea of having some “Private Moments” prior to the ceremony to share special thoughts. This time can be especially delightful for the couple since it’s usually the ONLY private moments they get during the entire wedding event. After the ceremony, time is filled with friends and relatives celebrating with the couple.
Our clients sold us on how great Private Moments can be. Sue Dodrill expressed it this way: “ I still remember how exciting it was for me to share private thoughts with James before everyone else gathered around us. It was truly one of the most memorable highlights of the entire day! I love the emotion-filled images that were taken at a distance as we saw each other for the first time on our wedding day. After a few minutes to ourselves, Fred captured some terrific close-ups of us that are some of my most favorites. I cherish the quiet serenity in those pictures. And, I’m so glad we had a chance to talk before everyone else was around. We followed these pictures with some of our families and wedding party with us. Because we did the special pictures early, there was no delay after the ceremony. The reception celebration started immediately. Now, I tell my friends, ‘Be sure to have some special pictures taken early. You’ll be glad you did!"
We now discuss what we call “Private Moments” with all of our clients as an option to get some “awe-some” photographs. Without this special time prior to the ceremony, the groom’s first glance of the bride is in front of everyone at the altar. Private moments provides an alternative that couples enjoy.
The tradition of the bride and groom not seeing each other prior to the ceremony originated with fears surrounding an arranged marriage where the couple never saw the face of the person until the ceremony.
We are respectful of your wishes. We are there to fulfill your requests, with or without Private Moments prior to the ceremony. As experienced professionals, we owe it to you to share what has been successful in meeting the needs and pleasing other clients. We can also help with the timeline of your day to help you get the best possible photographs. Our goal is to please you with everything we do.
What kind of albums do you use?
We have spent years researching the highest quality, most beautiful wedding albums available to the professional industry. All of our albums are of lasting, heirloom quality. The albums vary from the traditional matted album to modern digital flush-mounted albums with stunning metallic images. One of our most popular albums is custom made in New Zealand. We also have various styles of coffee table books. You’ll definitely have to touch and feel the beauty of all of our selections when you make an appointment to discuss your needs and preferences. It’s fun to see what we’ve done for others and helps expand the creative vision for your wedding.
Do you do destination weddings?
YES, with resounding affirmation! Although we love Arizona and all the hot attractions in our midst, we also enjoy Destination Weddings. The creative side of Fred really gets charged with the added excitement of photographing in a new environment. In addition to the wedding-day coverage, most couples enjoy a love-story session dressed in casual clothes the day before the wedding. The relaxed time before the wedding day allows us to capture more of the total environment of your destination, not just the location of the wedding.
